Have you ever needed to replace a boring sky on a photo? If you’ve done this with photoshop, you know that masking the sky is long and tedious process. (well, not always long, but definitely tedious). In what seems to be Adobe’s crawl into the easy tricks realm, they showed a Sky-replacing tech that we will probably see in one of the upcoming photoshop releases. The idea is that you can select a photo you like and a sky you like and integrate them in a single click.

You start with a photo that shows some skies

Then you select a sky to replace, and the algorithm will mask the sky for  you

and replace it with the new sky

not only that, the algorithm will also match the ambient light to match the new skies (note the greener grass)

In this example, Adobe shows how they can suggest some skies from a library of skies, so you don’t even have to have a a good sky photo
