Advertisements The contest invites both professional and amateur photographers from all over the world to enter the competition. For the 9th annual contest, over 3,800 entries were submitted. The portfolio winner (based on a folio submission of at least 4 images) is Benjamin Briones Grandi from Chile.
Tony Wang from China won the second place in the portfolio category, whereas Max Rive from the Netherlands won the third prize. As for the single image, the International Landscape Photographer of the Year 2022 is Martin Broen from the USA. The second place in the single image category was awarded to Mitja Kobal from Austria, and Liu Bai from China won the third place. The judges also awarded the second and third-place winners in both categories. But there are five special awards too. These change each year to keep things interesting, and the 2022 categories are: Black & White Award, Abstract Aerial Award, Snow & Ice Award, Amazing Cloud Award, and Seascape Award. “We love putting the International Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards together,” says Chairman of Judges, Peter Eastway. “And after the judging has finished, we like nothing more [than] to scroll through not only the winning photographs, but all of them. We’re constantly amazed at the lengths photographers go to, whether physically in the landscape or creatively in post-production.” and now, I’ll let you be amazed at this year’s winning images. Make sure to visit the International Landscape Photographer of the Year’s website for more details. On the website, you can also get e-books or physical books with winning images from all the contests so far.
